My name is Jacob Seth Mars. Call me Seth. I’m a senior at UWA, and I grew up in Choctaw County, Alabama. I am an English major with a Psychology minor. I started as a Psychology major, but literature and reading have always occupied most of my time and thoughts, so I decided to make the commitment and become an English major last year. I am very thankful for the great teachers I have had over the last three years.
I plan to start graduate school as soon as possible, and I would like to eventually settle down in north Alabama. I’ve never played any sports, but I did train in a few Korean martial arts for six years. I spend most of my free time reading novels or listening to public radio, but I find time for Nintendo games and the occasional PC game, both usually with my younger brother. My other hobbies include tinkering with electronics, going to thrift stores to buy more electronics to tinker with, collecting CRT televisions and other archaic junk, and recording/creating sounds. I used to program software, but that hobby has been put on hold in favor of my studies. I joined the Sucarnochee Review to learn a thing or two about publication, and have some fun while I’m at it.
